Coffee always fresh...

Coffee always fresh...

Monday 10 March 2014

In all honesty, I have not felt much like posting this past week.  It has been a stressful, annoying few days, and I just didn't think any of you would want to hear about it.  So there!

That said, I feel compelled to add my two cents today. Those of you who know of my loyalty to Québec will understand the vehemence of my disgust for Pierre Karl Péladeau, head of Québecor (now resigned from Board; however, undoubtedly still has at least one finger in the pie). Monsieur Péladeau says he wants nothing to do with Canada. Hello? He travels on a Canadian passport, his businesses flourish because they are Canadian and he is afforded all the rights and privileges of a Canadian. Ergo: He is Canadian. Now, if he wants to have nothing to do with Canada, there is absolutely nothing stopping the man from renouncing his citizenship. I haven't heard him do that, have you?  Of course not! To which country would he liege himself? France? Probably not. The US? Doubtful. England? Duh.... In any case, M. Péladeau, the feeling is mutual. Go away! We don't want anything to do with you, either. You are exactly the kind of person who gives the rest of us (Québecers) a bad name. Good riddance.

Mme Marois will have to get used to his arrogance.  Sigh. Do I feel sorry for her? Not a whit.

On to family.  Matt's deal on his condo fell through, so it's back to that drawing board. The agent is convinced it will sell shortly; however, they can only keep the deal on the one in the city for 10 before it falls by the wayside, too.  Jackson is on break, so apparently going to help his father with the storeroom at his work tomorrow.  Matt also traded his beloved truck for something much smaller. The gas consumption was ridiculous. He pics that up tomorrow, too.

All for now.. A la prochaine....
