Coffee always fresh...

Coffee always fresh...

Tuesday 4 March 2014

This goes for grandchildren, too.. and great-grands, if I am blessed to get that far!

I didn't share my day yesterday, as it was "just a day." I worked, the boss worked; just what you do to keep your head above water.  I am happy to share that the water seems to be receding, and both nose and water are now about the waterline. Been a long time coming. This house has been our saving grace, and I am grateful each day to have found it.

My friend, Cheryl Cooper, is launching her new book, "The Second Summer of War," the sequel to, "Come Looking for Me," which I am just now reading. It takes place during the war of 1812, the bi-centennial of which we have just celebrated. It is a lovely story about a young woman who becomes the unwitting prisoner of a ship's captain. She is British, he is American. She escapes, he becomes a prisoner. Can you see where this is going? I'll let you know when I've read the whole thing.

  1. You know that I agree with the 'promise to my children'. Glad things are coming together for you in this new place.
