Skunk.....

The dog got "skunked" before bed last night! Fortunately, the boss got her in before the full blast reached her, but she was pretty "high." Much better this morning, but looking a little leery about going out on the porch. Gee... I wonder why!

It has been such incredible weather this week, and the boss has done such a fabulous job on the floor in the living room... and the painting. I finished painting the dining room last evening, and now we are just waiting for our neighbour's handyman to come and remove the ancient Fedders air conditioner from the wall in the living room! Our kids had volunteered, but their lives are immeasurably more complex than hours, and we are happy to give a local man a couple of hours work in return for the removal of that hideous monstrosity before it allows winter's cold into the house again this year.

We have ordered a new patio door, too, as the old one barely kept out the rain, let alone the wind and the freezing cold. Hopefully, the den will be warmer this year.

We are filling a large order for Paris right now, and the Thanksgiving crackers are going out this week too (for Canada). The ones to the US will be going out in a couple of weeks. We have many orders from our southern neighbours. Seems they, too, enjoy our "cracker" tradition.
